W11 Words of Wisdom

Wednesday, March 17th, 2010

Hi Co Creators,

Wisdom Wednesday: Money Matters

Are you looking for ways to create multiple streams of income?

Here’s an idea….This is UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

Now why didn’t I think of this!   A Well-Planned Retirement

(from The London Times)

Outside the Bristol Zoo, in England , there is a parking lot for 150 cars and 8 coaches, or buses. It was manned by a very pleasant attendant with a ticket machine charging cars £1 (about $1.40) and coaches £5 (about $7).  This parking attendant worked there solid for all of 25 years.  Then, one day, he just didn’t turn up for work.
”Oh well”, said Bristol Zoo Management – “we’d better phone up the City Council and get them to send a new parking attendant . . . ”

“Err . . no”, said the Council, “that parking lot is your responsibility.”
“Err . .. . no”, said Bristol Zoo Management, “the attendant was employed by the City Council, wasn’t he?”

“Err . . no!” insisted the Council.

Sitting in his villa somewhere on the coast of Spain (presumably), is a man who had been taking the parking lot fees, estimated at £400 (about $560) per day at Bristol Zoo for the last 25 years. Assuming 7 days a week, this amounts to just over £3.6 million ($7 million – or $280,000 every year for 25 years)!

And no one even knows his name.

See you on Freedom Friday:

W11 A Money Box

Monday, March 15th, 2010

Hey Hello Co Creators,

Magic Monday: And the Challenge is?  “A Recycled Money Box”

Stop for a moment and ponder.

“How can I save a few extra bucks?  I’ll make a Money Saving Tube.”

~donna lingard

Creating Creativity is a fun way to keep life exciting and full of joy. You can create what makes you feel good. I have lots and lots of kool ideas that I enjoy sharing with you. The idea of A Creative Challenge is that you see lots of ideas and you can do what resonates with you. You may do all the activities or just one here and there.

This week we make a money box from recycled materials. I have used a pringles tube for mine. You could use a box or a tin or something you have around the house. I cut a slit in the top for the money to go in. This was easy as the pringles lid is plastic. Then I cut out heaps of pics of money and just glued them on. Easy and fun. It would be a good one for the kids to do if you are rained in or maybe snowed in. Have fun with it, and remember make it YOUnique.

My version:… Tadar!!!

Remember you can do as much or as little as you like. It is all about simple creative success. Having some fun and Ticking off your goals list and celebrating those dreams and goals throughout the year.

My Motto for 2010 “Let’s make Twenty Ten Simply Successful”

See you on Wisdom Wednesday:
